Won Yoon, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
Licensed Acupuncturist
Diplomate of Oriental Medicine

Having practiced and studied Eastern medicine (traditionally known as "Oriental medicine") for nearly 20 years, I have witnessed its remarkable evolution into a widely recognized mainstream medical discipline. While many traditional practices worldwide remain localized or alternative, Eastern medicine—also referred to as Asian medicine—stands as a comprehensive natural therapeutic system with clinical data and treatment principles dating back to the 3rd century BC.
Today, it is a vital partner to Western medicine, effectively addressing the side effects of symptomatic treatments, chemical medications, and surgery, while significantly improving pre- and post-operative success rates. Eastern medicine offers a holistic approach through herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, Tuina (therapeutic massage), and cupping.
Mastering the core pillars—acupuncture and herbal medicine—requires lifelong study and clinical rigor. Unlike Western medicine’s focus on detailed anatomical analysis, Eastern medicine integrates theories of mechanics, mathematics, and even natural cycles to explain the human body as an extension of nature. Without a profound understanding of these fundamental principles, achieving high cure rates is impossible.
Acupuncture is widely celebrated for providing immediate relief for most types of pain. However, for the fundamental treatment of underlying illness, traditional natural herbal medicine is essential. Drawing on over 2,000 years of accumulated wisdom, these formulas address the root causes of disease rather than just the symptoms.
As a Korean-born practitioner, I have traveled extensively to China and Japan to analyze the unique strengths of their respective traditions. By integrating the best practices from all three regions, I have been able to provide noteworthy results for my patients.
Many illnesses persist simply because the immune system is not strong enough to overcome them. True recovery requires a multi-faceted approach: a diet suited to your specific constitution, exercise tailored to your physical condition, natural herbal medicine to treat the cause, and acupuncture to regulate your body’s vital energy. Our results consistently prove the efficacy of this approach.
To ensure the highest quality of care, our clinic maintains a diverse inventory of 400 raw herbs and 300 specialized herbal formulas; we prescribe herbal treatments to over 90% of our patients to accelerate the healing process. We also utilize state-of-the-art technology from Japan and Korea, including electro-acupuncture, vital cell stimulators, and microcurrent pain reducers, to further enhance treatment outcomes.
If you are facing a health challenge, Eastern medicine can provide clear answers regarding the cause, treatment, and recovery process. I am deeply honored by the recognition from my patients, whose consistent feedback led to award me as the Top Acupuncturist in Fort Lee for 2025 based on Google Review rating
